Richard Irving has been the Marine Technology Instructor at MCST since 1985. He is a U.S. Navy veteran having served as an Assault Boat Coxswain. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts.
Prior to joining MCST, he had over sixteen years of wide ranging professional experience in the marine trades. He was also the owner/proprietor of his own boat shop which specialized in the construction of welded aluminum vessels.
Mr. Irving has had a life long nautical interest and is an avid boatman and single handed sailor.
