Red Residential Chicken Coops- Limited Edition- For Sale

December 20, 2011

Students in the residential carpentry program at Mid-Coast School of Technology have built the cutest, the classiest, the most structurally sound chicken coops available.  The design of the coops provides owners with easy access to the eggs as well as a unique feature-making coop clean out very easy.  Students worked with students in Ed Lee’s welding program to add delightful chicken motif metal art as well as selecting fancy knobs and high quality windows.

Learning construction techniques while building these pretty coops included cutting angles, installing windows and finally shingling the building, as well as learning OSHA safety regulations.  Dan Dishner, MCST residential construction teacher, became an OSHA Trainer this past summer and used the construction of these fancy chicken coops to help students gain hands on experience using OSHA safety standards.

Don’t be fooled by the cute factor of these red hen houses.  Students designed and built sturdy structures using residential construction quality techniques and materials. The coops are selling for the incredibly reasonable price of  $625.00.  There are a limited number of coops available so don’t delay.  Call Mid-Coast School of Technology at 594-2161 to reserve your residential style chicken coop.
