Friends and family were welcomed to the Mid-Coast School of Technology's Student Recognition Night by Director Beth Fisher on Thursday, May 27, 2010, at the Elks Lodge on Rankin Street in Rockland.  This annual event celebrated the accomplishments and achievement of students from Camden Hills, Georges Valley, Medomak Valley and Rockland High Schools, Lincoln Academy, the islands of Vinalhaven, North Haven, Isleboro, along with home-schooled students.

MCST Inducts Twenty Three Students Into National Technical Honor Society

On May 4, 2010, twenty three students were honored at the Mid-Coast School of Technology in a formal ceremony inducting them into the prestigious National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).

The NTHS honors students for their commitment and achievement in seven different attributes:  skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership. MCST Awards Student of the Year to Courtney Kilbreth

Courtney Kilbreth, a Mid-Coast School of Technology (MCST) senior from Medomak Valley High School , has been awarded Career and Technical Education (CTE) Student of the Year honors. She attended the CTE Student of the Year Awards Ceremony at Lewiston Regional Technical Center on May 1 where she was awarded a $1,000 scholarship.  Guest speakers for the event were Susan Gendron, Maine Education Commissioner, and U.S. Congressman Mike Michaud.

MCST students pitch in to help Cushing youngsters

The students in the afternoon residential carpentry class at the Mid-Coast School of Technology are doing something special for their community. They are using the skills they are learning as carpenters to assemble two dugouts for the Cushing Recreation Department.

Rockland — The Mid-Coast School of Technology held a lock-down safety drill March 22 to practice in case there is ever a threat to the school.
