Students need to communicate effectively now and in the future. They will need to share their ideas and information using many different formats: email, memos, letters, presentations, reports, etc. Workers need to be aware of how they learn in order to be efficient employees because jobs and job requirements are constantly changing and workers need continual retraining and education to remain competitive. Employees have to enter the workplace as workplace literate individuals; they have to know how to research, comprehend, think critically, explain, demonstrate and work as part of a team.
