Nic LaBreck

School-to-Career Coordinator / Teacher

I am a native Mainer and graduate of Erskine Academy in China, Maine. Upon graduation I spent a couple years in college prior to the events of September 11th. Shortly after September 11th, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and left for Basic Military Training.

Upon graduation from BMT, I went to school to become an Aerospace Maintenence Journeyman. I worked for 4 years on the KC-135 Stratotanker, a Cold War Era designed aerial-refueler. During that time I also progressed in the military ranks, gained civilian certification in Airframe and Powerplant, and developed leadership and mentorship roles within the career field. After spending some time as a recruiter for the US Air Force and in the intelligence career field within the Air Force, I transferred to the Maine Air National Guard and became a 5th grade teacher. Three years teaching 5th grade culminated with me accepting a position at Mid-Coast School of Technology.

I live on the midcoast with my son, Brayden, and enjoy the traditional Maine activities of hiking, boating and just being outdoors. I also love to take apart and rebuild my 1999 Triumph "cafe" motorcycle as much as I love to ride it.
