Building Trades – Vinalhaven

This course is designed to introduce students to the residential construction industry. Students will gain the skills and knowledge to work in entry level positions in the building trades. With a strong emphasis on safety, this program provides the students with practical skills including working with hand and power tools, basic wall, window, and door framing, interior and exterior trim, roofing and drywall. Students will have the opportunity to learn basic blueprint reading. The program is based on the National Association of Home Builders standards and curriculum.
