I was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. My family moved to Maine in 1996. I attended Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and graduated in 2003. After high school I went to the University of Maine at Farmington where I earned a B.S. in Secondary Education Mathematics in 2007. After college my husband, Scott, and I moved to the Mid-Coast. I worked at Georges Valley High School teaching freshmen Honors Algebra I and Core Plus 1. While at Georges Valley I participated in CNECT through the Maine Math and Science Alliance alongside MCST. In CNECT I created co-taught lessons that enhanced the math in the CTE classroom and applied the math from my math classroom. I have also participated in Math-in-CTE initiative with the Maine Department of Education. There we focused on the CTE class and enhanced the math embedded within the CTE curriculum. I became a Lead Facilitator on the State Leadership Team to recruit, promote, and teach Math-in-CTE model along with Rich Barratt. In my spare time I love spending time with my husband and son, camping, running, and hiking.
