Seth Walton

School to Career Coordinator / Teacher

Seth Walton serves as the School-to-Career Coordinator for Medomak Valley High School. His responsibilities include teaching Career Preparation and Research at MVHS, working closely with MVHS students attending MCST, and supervising the work-study program.

Seth came to MCST in the fall of 2015 from a very diverse background. Like many people who live in Maine, he has worn many hats. His work experiences and credentials include: Maine Guide, sailor, Divemaster, EMT, shipwright, furniture maker, stonemason, master gardener, legislative performance auditor, chef, yoga instructor, entomological survey technician, management consultant for the federal government, and AmeriCorps VISTA.

Through his life and work experiences, Seth brings a unique ability to relate to people from many diverse backgrounds and a contagious enthusiasm for public service. He is a strong advocate for our students and works towards increased educational attainment and expanded opportunities for our community's youth. He is thrilled to have the opportunity to assist students in finding their paths forward.

Seth holds an Associate of Arts from Colorado Mountain College; an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Global Political Economy from the University of Colorado at Denver; and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver.

Originally from Colorado, via a long stopover in Virginia, Seth has found his home in MidCoast Maine. When not at school, he cooks and gardens at a little cottage in Rockport. You might also find him hiking a trail or on the water.
