Early College for ME is designed to assist high school students in transitioning from high school to a Maine community college. Mid-Coast School of Technology currently has 15 participating junior students, 5 of whom will receive a $1000-$2000 scholarship towards a Maine community college credential – with as much as $2000 toward an associate degree. All 15 students are eligible to participate in the support and advising services of the program. The service includes assistance with the college admissions process, federal financial aid process, course selection, and the overall transition into college. Scholarship applicants may be eligible to take up to two Maine Community College courses during their senior year (must be able to meet course and testing requirements), with tuition, fees, and books paid for by the Early College for ME program.
